About Me
Inspiration
My passion for storytelling ignited in childhood, sparked by watching High School Musical 2 at age 4 and Bridge to Terabithia later on. I was keenly aware of feeling emotions I never had noticed before. Family traditions, like attending Merlefest Bluegrass Festival at a young age, introduced me to artists like The Avett Brothers who shaped my understanding of narrative through music. My parents' eclectic taste in music and film, from Tracey Chapman to Star Wars, influenced my appreciation for diverse storytelling. Discovering Good Will Hunting at age 15 and later Garden State expanded my love for cinema, each offering beautiful insights to life.
Today, artists like Taylor Swift, The 1975, Ella FitzGerald, The Mamas and Papas and films like Goodfellas and Past Lives continue to inspire my creative journey. They enrich my understanding of storytelling's power to evoke emotion and have fueled my desire to keep creating with deep feelings. My journey through films like Cinema Paradiso and Get Out has broadened my perspective of diverse narratives that shape not only my artistic tastes but also my understanding of the human experience. With every story absorbed, I am reminded of the profound impact storytelling can have on our lives.
Artistic Bio
I want to be a part of the community that strives to share and evoke emotions through film. The most rewarding part of projects I worked on has been collaborating with my peers. Getting to know each other in real life while creating a shared story has been loads of fun.
As I have started to write my own scripts I find myself looking deeper into myself, others, and life experiences to find and name the feelings I crave to share. I am enthralled by the process and excited by growth. I will keep working, keep watching, and keep listening in efforts to find the art that comes from all around.
My work is for the person who hasn’t been able to match their feelings to words, it’s for those who need a little break from their own life to dream about another, and it’s for those who take those dreams and absorb them into their own lives.
